Sarikoy Project Update

Updates as of August 12, 2005

 

Here are a few photos from the Sarikoy repairs, we will have some more photos soon. Please click on the thumbnails below for full size pictures from Sarikoy just after construction.

 

Roof:
A large heavily damaged section of the roof was replaced with durable concrete material.

 

Enlarging the Classroom:
One small classroom was enlarged by removing a wall between the classroom and an unused storage room.

 

Painting:
The three small school buildings were painted inside-out and cracks on the walls were repaired.

 

 

 

 

Floor:
Floors of two buildings were improved by replacing the damaged concrete with mozaic material.

 

Electricity:
The existing electric infrastructure was inspected and all necessary improvements were done to provide additional safety.

 

Water System & Restrooms:
Two sinks were added to the boys and girls bathrooms, and pipes were laid to connect the existing water tank to the main water system in the town.

 

Other:
Broken doors and damaged building stairs were repaired.
