Sarikoy Project Execution

After we raised enough funds to start the repairs for Sarikoy, our dedicated volunteer Mehmet Okur went to Midyat, Mardin to visit local authorities, get permissions, finalize the action plan, find a contractor, and negotiate prices for this project.

Once we received his comprehensive report on July 29th, we approved the project start for August 1st. The main repairs went smoothly and were completed on August 10th.

Enlarging the classroom: $148
Roofing: $1,425

Floors: $1,172
Water system & restrooms: $204
Electricity system: $37
Other repairs: $59
Operational expenses: $300

Total Repair Costs: $4,480

We will channel the rest of the funds to provide basic school supplies to the students of Sarikoy Elementary School.
