Yunus Emre Project Execution

The renovation part of our Yunus Emre School Project is completed as of August 11, 2006.

Thanks to the hard efforts of our coordinator in Turkey, Mehmet Okur, the construction part of the project is executed within couple weeks.

After visiting the local authorities, Mehmet finalized the action plan in coordination with Doga Dernegi, and negotiated with contractors for the project budget. As a result of his hard work, we have signed the contract as of July 20 and the project started immediately after.

Estimated Repair Budget (as of July 20, 2006)

The revised repair budget is $9,112, which is subject to change. This part of the project is estimated to be completed by the end of first week of August.

The construction work will be also be examined by an expert who will be appointed by the Education Ministry and also by our supporter Doga Dernegi. Once the project is completed, a report will be sent to our main sponsor for this project, Turkish American Ladies League.
