8th Annual Turkish Arts & Culture Festival

The Monterey chapter of TAAC organized a very successful Turkish Arts & Culture Festival in Monterey on August 6 and 7, 2005. We would like to thank them for providing a free booth for Friends of Anatolia on August 7th to participate in the festivities.

Thanks to our eight enthusiastic volunteers, more than 200 people visited our booth and walked away with our brochures. 30 visitors left their contact information to be part of our mailing list or to volunteer, and we received $300 from individual donations at the event.

Later, our continuing supporters Celal Alpay and Meral Guvenc of New Kapadokia, who served food at the festival, donated an additional $300 from their sales profit. We thank them for their thoughtful support!
