Support for Education Dinner

Our first fundraising event, Support for Education Dinner at Stanford, was a huge success! With this dinner, our aim was to raise enough money to improve the lives of Turkish children and contribute to their education.

More than 70 friends and guests joined us for the evening, including Ambassador Engin Ansay, Friends of Merzifon, and two of our advisors, Sema Basol and Marla Petal. After subtracting the event expenses, $6,500 was raised from ticket sales, silent auction, logo merchandise, and donations.

Our biggest single contributor was Bridge to Turkiye Fund with $3,000. At the end of the evening we were able to match C. Esrefoglu challenge gift in the amount of $5,000 with a surplus of $1,500. Click here for the donor roll of this event.

All proceeds from the evening will directly benefit the Dibekduzu Elementary School in Sanliurfa, Turkey. (Read more about this project and its updates.)
