2005
school projects are successfully completed!

With the return of our founding President, Demet Yezgi,
from her trip to Turkey, our two school projects of Dibekduzu
Sanliurfa, and Sarikoy
Mardin have now completed.
These
schools now have running water, bathrooms with toilet
paper, heaters, and a roof that does not leak. Kids
were ecstatic when they saw all the supplies we purchased
for them. They now have new shoes, socks, balls to
play with, bags full of school supplies, books and
many other wonderful things.
Demet
says that “it was totally worth
going there and making sure that the hard-earned
dollars were spent wisely. It was incredible to see
the difference we made and to touch the people who
felt that difference in their lives."
Many
thanks to Basak Toker from Istanbul, Ozhan Abat from
Duzce, and Ozlem Tekin and other volunteers from Diyarbakir
who provided us with incredible guidance and support.
