Advisory Council

Trish GERBER: Trish works as a major gifts officer at Stanford University. A native Ohioan, she had the opportunity to live in Santa Cruz from 1990 to 1994, and when family obligations took her and her husband back to the Midwest, they were decided they would definitely return to the mild climate of Northern CA. They fulfilled their decision six months ago after she took the position at the Office of Development at Stanford.

Trish holds a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in English from Kent State University. She has spent over 12 years in the development arena holding positions at UC Santa Cruz, Kent State University, Case Western Reserve University and now Stanford. Her fundraising background while mostly in the context of higher education includes raising money for the social sciences, a graduate school of business and public radio.

Through her work at Stanford, Trish has gotten to know Demet and experience Demet's enthusiasm for her native Turkey. Trish looks forward to seeing the impact that this small but mighty group can make to the lives of countless young people of Anatolia.
