Laurie A. BUONANNO: Laurie
currently holds the rank of Associate Professor of Political
Science at SUNY Fredonia and serves as Executive Director
of the Institute for European Union Studies at SUNY. She
has been a director at the Transatlantic Consortium for
European Union Studies and Simulations, a 27-member consortium
of European and American universities, since 1999.
Laurie has authored many grants to support curriculum development,
pedagogical innovation, and student/faculty scholarship and
conferences, primarily in support of European Union studies.
She has delivered lectures and presented papers on EU policies,
European identity, and EU-US relations. She has published
articles and book chapters on these subjects, as well.
She is currently co-authoring Policies and Policy Making
in the European Union (Palgrave-Macmillan) and also leading
a team-taught project under the auspices of the SUNY System
Administration Cross-National Project in which three SUNY
and two British faculties team-teach the European Union at
their respective campuses.
Laurie received her Ph.D. degree from Johns
Hopkins University. She graduated from University at Buffalo,
SUNY, with an M.B.A.
degree in International Business & Marketing, and a B.S.
degree in Business Administration, Management of Information
Systems.
